Com Game of Thrones fora do páreo em função do hiato de uma edição do prêmio dado pela série da HBO, Westworld , do mesmo canal, sai na liderança com um total de 22 indicações, seguida de Stranger Things da Netflix com 18 indicações.
Nas categorias de minissérie ou série limitada, Feud: Bette e Joan, do showrunner Ryan Murphy sobre a disputa entre as atrizes Bette Davis e Joan Crawford nos bastidores das filmagens de O Que Teria Acontecido a Baby Jane?, recebeu 18 indicações, incluindo as esperadas menções às performances de Jessica Lange e Susan Sarandon. Outro destaque na mesma categoria é Big Little Lies, minissérie da HBO dirigida por Jean-Marc Vallée protagonizada por Nicole Kidman e Reese Whiterspoon.
